A303 Junction 8 to Stonehenge

After exiting the M3 at Junction 8, you'll find yourself cruising along the A303, venturing into ancient lands steeped in history. Before reaching the main attraction, Stonehenge, consider making a worthwhile stop at the prehistoric henge monuments of Durrington Walls and Woodhenge. These impressive structures, dating back to 2500 BC, offer a glimpse into the lives and beliefs of our Neolithic ancestors.

A few miles before reaching Stonehenge, you'll encounter Solstice Services, a convenient rest stop where you can grab light refreshments and utilize restroom facilities. Take a break, recharge, and prepare for your immersive journey into the enigmatic world of Stonehenge.

It's then just a short hop to the quaint market town of Amesbury. Steeped in history, Amesbury boasts a rich heritage dating back to Neolithic times, earning its reputation as one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited settlements.

Stonehenge

You've arrived! On Salisbury Plain, you'll find Stonehenge, a moving and magical collection of gigantic stones. Why was this extraordinary circle created? Was it constructed by aliens? And is Elvis really still alive and flipping burgers in Idaho? All the mysteries of the Universe could be answered, if we could just unlock the secrets of the stones…
